The Kho Kho Association of Delhi (KKAD), established in 2019, is an organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing the sport of Kho Kho in New Delhi. It is affiliated with the Kho Kho Federation of India and the Delhi Olympic Association. KKAD operates under the guidelines of the Kho Kho Federation of India and is registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860, as per Registration No.S/2186/2019 KKAD dated 25th November 2019 by the Department of NCT Delhi.

The 38th National Games, being held in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, from January 28 to February 14, 2025, features Delhi’s women’s Kho Kho team as enthusiastic participants. The team is under the supervision of their head coach, Mr. Dinesh Rana, supported by Mr. Manjeet as the assistant coach and Ms. Rehana as the team manager. Their collective efforts aim to lead the team to success in this prestigious event.

The 1st Kho Kho World Cup 2025 is set to redefine tradition by embracing creativity and innovation, all while ensuring the event remains accessible to a wide audience. With the collaborative efforts of the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI), the International Kho Kho Federation (IKKF) and Kho Kho Association of Delhi (KKAD), the Opening Ceremony is undergoing a transformative reimagining.

This groundbreaking initiative highlights a bold vision to celebrate the essence of Kho Kho on a global stage. By blending tradition with modernity, the event promises to captivate fans worldwide, showcasing the unity, dynamism, and cultural heritage of the sport like never before.

ONE CEREMONY, SEVERAL FIRSTS

This ceremony open to as many people as possible is a first. A giant screens and strategically placed speakers will allow everyone to enjoy the magical atmosphere of this show reverberating throughout the Indian capital. The Opening Ceremony for the 1st Kho Kho Wolrd 2025 will be the largest in Games history. It will be open to all: residents from India and its region, as well as visitors from all over the India and around the world.

The Kho Kho World Cup 2025, set to take place from January 13 to 19 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, is poised to be a monumental event in the history of the sport organized by the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI) and the International Kho Kho Federation (IKKF), the first-ever World Cup will see 23 countries compete, showcasing India’s rich sporting heritage and the global rise of Kho Kho.

Men’s Team Coach: Ashwani Kumar Sharma

Over 50 years of experience in Kho Kho.

Led the Indian men’s team to gold at the 2019 South Asian Games.

Coached the Odisha Juggernauts to victory in the inaugural Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) season.

Named Delhi’s Best Coach in 2014.

Sharma’s deep expertise and track record of success are expected to be instrumental in guiding the team to victory.

Women’s Team Coach: Sumit Bhatia

Renowned coach with numerous national accolades, including multiple medals at Senior National Championships.

Guided the women’s team to gold at the 3rd Asian Championship and the 12th South Asian Games.

Served as Chief Coach of the Indian women’s team during the 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship 2023.

An International Referee, officiating in prestigious global tournaments.

Bhatia’s international experience and strategic leadership will be crucial for the women’s team.

Men’s Team Captain: Pratik Waikar

An Eklavya Award winner who began playing Kho Kho at the age of eight.

Made his India debut in 2016.

Known for his dedication and leadership, Waikar will spearhead the men’s team in this historic event.

Women’s Team Captain: Priyanka Ingle
A seasoned athlete with a career spanning 23 National Championships over 15 years.

A consistent and reliable presence in the squad, Ingle’s experience will be pivotal in the team’s campaign.
