Today’s Glimpses of Kho Kho

The 38th National Games commenced in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasized the event’s role in showcasing India’s sporting talent and reiterated the nation’s ambition to host the 2036 Olympics. About National Games 2025*. Overview : A multi-sport Olympic-style event where athletes from states and UTs compete for medals. Host & Schedule: The 38th edition will be held in Uttarakhand from 28th January to 14th February 2025, marking the state’s first-time hosting. Sports & Events: Includes 32 competitive disciplines and 4 demonstration sports

Mascot of 38th National Games                                                Mascot & Theme: Mouli, the Monal (state bird of Uttarakhand) symbolizes natural beauty and the tagline ” Sankalp Se Shikhar Tak ” reflects determination and excellence. 

Significance: Promotes grassroots sports, infrastructure and tourism, preparing athletes for international competitions like the Olympics and Asian Games.
